Hernan Cattaneo

With more than ten years performing in the best clubs of Argentina, Hernan Cattaneo is the most respected DJ’s in South America.
His passion for music and his ability in transmitting the best vibe to the big audience has led Hernan to become the leader of the Argentinean dance movement, which grows day by day as well as his excellent reputation.

His influences come from the 80’s Chicago House and from a more progressive European 90′ sound. It’s result is a very characteristic personal style which creatively identifies all and each one of his sets.

His ability to read a track and his personality makes him perfectly comfortable either warming up for Paul Oakenfold, playing the main role in his residencies or closing a night after Justin Robertson, with the same effectiveness.

The best example of the above are his five hour sets for Clubland (at Pacha, Buenos Aires, on Saturday night), one of the nights most waited by all Argentinean dance fans. There, he develops a journey through underground house, progressive house and deep house, where the musical quality is the common denominator of the whole night.

Lately, Hernan has become one of the most required and popular DJ’s of South America and his performances has been extended to the territories of Chile, Brazil and Uruguay where he is in charge of Space’s DJ Booth in Punte Del Este, the most important Summer in South America.

With regards to Europe, he is tightly connected with Cream, in addititon to being its resident DJ at Cream’s monthly parties at Pacha in Buenos Aires, he will be playing this year at Pacha in Ibiza, Creamfields and Cream’s in Liverpool.

Paul Oakenfold, who fantastically supports Hernan’s career, has called him to be part of the next Perfecto Tour, which will take him to different clubs of the UK. In recent specialized international publications, Paul Oakenfold has spoken of Hernan as an excellent DJ.

His recent experiences have made him share the booths with DJ’s of highest artistic stature such as Deep Dish, John Digweed, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, Justin Robertson, Seb Fontaine, Dave Seaman, David Morales, Green Velvet etc… and he also participated in recent concerts in Buenos Aires, where he supported – amongst other DJ’s Kraftwerk and The Chemical Brothers. Locally, he has won the best DJ Award in the last 5 years.

His passion in sharing the music with everybody also led him to be in charge of ‘The Beat’, a radio show where he combines music information plus live mixes and is heard by all worshippers of dance nationwide.

Right now, together with his manager Martin Gontad, he is extending his talents by working on the creation of a Record Label, through which he will develop his own productions (Deep Funk / Perfecto available on NuBreed 4) and the edition of compilations (Clubland I & II), thus developing a new aspect of the local dance market.
